Important Notice on TechRise Studio Architecture

TechRise Studio is a standalone, client-side desktop software application for Windows. TechRise does NOT operate cloud servers or central databases that store your Facebook OAuth tokens, login passwords, live video feeds, or stream keys. All authentication tokens are stored exclusively on your local computer using hardware-bound Windows DPAPI encryption. Consequently, disconnecting your account in the desktop application immediately deletes the local credentials from your computer.

01. What Data Deletion Means

In accordance with the Meta Platform Terms and user privacy standards, you have the absolute right to delete all data, permissions, and credentials associated with your Facebook / Meta connection in TechRise Studio.

Depending on your setup, "Data Deletion" encompasses three distinct areas:

  • Local Device Credentials: Removing the encrypted Meta access tokens, Page Access Tokens, and profile metadata stored on your Windows device.
  • Meta Platform Permissions: Revoking the authorization granted to TechRise Studio to interact with your Facebook account and managed Pages.
  • Support Communication Records: Deleting any customer service correspondence or diagnostic logs submitted directly to TechRise support.

02. How to Disconnect Facebook from TechRise Studio

You can immediately disconnect Facebook and purge all associated tokens using either of the following methods:

A Method 1: Direct In-App Disconnection (Instant Local Purge)

Perform this directly inside the TechRise Studio desktop application:

  1. Open TechRise Studio on your Windows PC.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Stream Destinations (or open the Streaming panel).
  3. Locate the Facebook Live destination card.
  4. Click the Disconnect button.
Technical Action: Clicking Disconnect immediately executes disconnectAccount(), which cryptographically purges all Windows DPAPI-encrypted user tokens, page tokens, and runtime memory caches from your computer.
B Method 2: Revoking Permissions via Meta / Facebook Settings

To revoke application authorization directly on Facebook:

  1. Log in to your Facebook account in any web browser.
  2. Go to Facebook Settings > Apps and Websites.
  3. Find TechRise Studio in the list of active apps.
  4. Click Remove next to TechRise Studio.
  5. (Optional) Check the box to allow Facebook to delete past posts or videos created by the application, then confirm.
C Method 3: Complete Local Application Reset / Uninstallation

To completely clear all local application data, caches, and configuration settings:

  • Uninstall TechRise Studio via Windows Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
  • Alternatively, clear the local Windows Registry key at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TechRiseStudio\StreamCredentials.

06. What Data TechRise Can Delete

Because of TechRise Studio's local-first privacy design, TechRise maintains strict boundaries over what data we can directly delete:

✓ Data TechRise Can Directly Remove:

  • Customer support inquiry history and email communication records held in TechRise support systems.
  • Any voluntarily submitted diagnostic or setup logs sent to our engineering team.

ℹ Data Stored Exclusively on Your Device:

Facebook OAuth tokens, Page tokens, and local scene presets are stored exclusively in your Windows DPAPI encrypted registry/files. Because TechRise servers never receive these tokens, they cannot be deleted remotely from our servers; you delete them instantly via in-app Disconnect or application uninstallation.

07. What Data Is Controlled by Meta (Must Be Managed via Meta)

TechRise Studio acts strictly as a client broadcasting tool and does not manage or host Meta's cloud infrastructure. The following categories of data are controlled exclusively by Meta Platforms, Inc. and must be managed or deleted directly through Facebook:

  • Published Live Streams & Videos: Broadcast videos, recordings, thumbnails, and posts published to your Facebook Profile or Facebook Page. (Manage via Facebook Page > Videos or Meta Business Suite).
  • Comments, Reactions & Engagement: Viewer chats, comments, reactions, and audience analytics generated during or after live broadcasts.
  • Facebook Account Information: Your Facebook credentials, passwords, profile photos, email addresses, and account security settings.
  • Application Authorizations: Platform permissions granted to third-party apps under your Meta account. (Manage via Facebook Apps and Websites Settings).

For more details on Meta's data practices, please consult the Meta Privacy Policy and Meta Terms of Service.
